The Bengal Cat Club
Welcome to the Bengal Cat Club web site.
The Bengal Cat Club is dedicated to the welfare and promotion of this beautiful breed and has members, not only in the United Kingdom but overseas as well.
There is still much to do in order to fulfil the potential of the site but we hope that members and visitors alike will find the site interesting and informative.

Our fourth Championship Show was held on Saturday 25th July 2009 at the Northcroft Leisure Centre in Newbury. It was a lovely day out for exhibitors and visitors alike with so many beautiful Bengals at the only all-Bengal Championship Show held in this country under GCCF Rules. The Bengal Book
We still have some signed copies of the new Gene Ducote (of Gogees Bengals) book.
There are new features to the website that we hope will help the Bengal breed and generate interest for our members. Why not help to create the site we all want to see? Send in those articles, stories and of course those photographs that everyone loves to look at.
This Club has always been strong on welfare and the new Welfare and Lost and Found Section should help speed the process of caring for the cats that need re-homing and re-uniting any lost Bengals that come into the system. Whilst we are on the subject of lost and found in particular, if you own a Bengal or any other breed of cat, do make sure that they are microchipped. We have had far too many lost Bengals that are clearly well cared for and obviously much loved, only to be unable to re-unite them with their owners because they are not chipped.
The Bengal Cat Club News Section has been introduced to give an “at a glance” way of keeping people informed of the latest news. News items will also go into the Archive Area, for retrieval at a later date for reference if necessary.
The New Kitten List area should benefit both breeders and people looking for a kitten. As this area grows, it should provide a comprehensive listing of easily accessible information.
This website may seem rather sparse as it is literally being built on line. We have no webmaster as such. Certain Committee Members are able to access the site and put on what you would like them to.
If you have a welfare issue, or have lost or found a Bengal, please email Anne de Berry at Anne@Indykatz.com or telephone her on 01690 710465 and she will post the relevant information on the site. We would also welcome rescue or re-homing stories. These are something all readers enjoy. ALL THIS INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND ON THE WELFARE NEWS PAGE. WE ALSO HAVE A LIST OF ADULT BENGALS LOOKING FOR NEW HOMES SO BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE A KITTEN MAYBE YOU COULD CONSIDER GIVING AN ADULT A SECOND CHANCE OF A LOVING SAFE HOME.
If you have a general enquiry, please send it to the Chairman, Barrie Alger-Street by email at barrieandrosie@typha-typhast.co.uk and he will ensure that it is passed on to the person best suited to deal with it. At the moment, he is also the person to send your contributions to - so please let´s have them rolling in!
